Well, let’s see…
The perfect woman, what would she be?
She would be content which was unlike Eve[1],
And hopefully, would not be deceived.
As Sarah[2], her faith would be strong,
Her spirit obedient and hating wrong.
But her patience unlike Sarah’s[3] would be never ending,
And like Rebekah[4], she would be very friendly.
She would love her children equally,
And teach them peace and hospitality.
She would have persistence as did Potiphar’s wife[5],
But would not go around causing strife.
Like Rahab[6], her faith by works would be justified,
And Satan, by her, would be denied.
Jealousy as Penninah’s[7] she would not possess,
She would always try to be her best.
All of her relationships would involve good communication.
She would treat others kindly because they’re God’s creation.
She would be as hospitable as the Shunammite[8],
And to the world she would be a light.
As Esther[9], she would fulfill her responsibility,
And make the most of every opportunity.
As Dorcas[10], her deeds of kindness and charity would abound,
She would love others, and in her, no selfishness would be found.
She would trust in God, and not her own ways,
And would live for God all her days,
Because she knows how well God repays.
Artios[11] would be her name because she would be complete and tame.
